Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) tells the Jedi Council to “f-ck off” in a hilarious Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith edit. The upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which is currently in production, will take place ten years after the events of Episode III. It will likely explore “Ben” Kenobi’s time on Tatooine, protecting Luke Skywalker from the influence of the Galactic Empire. In his isolation, Obi-Wan will undoubtedly reflect upon his failure as a mentor to Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) and a member of the Jedi Council. The Jedi Order was essentially at the height of its power during the Star Wars prequels. Headquartered on Coruscant, the Jedi Council, led mainly by Yoda and Mace Windu, governed the order before the fall of the Republic. The Galactic Empire’s rise is arguably a result of the council’s prejudices. In its arrogance, the order involved itself in politics and even helped Chancellor Palpatine, a.k.a., Darth Sidious, gain power as his ignorant police force. On top of that, their handling of the “Chosen One” exacerbated the birth of Darth Vader. Obi-Wan, while on the council, understands that a Jedi shouldn’t interfere in areas that are not their expertise. If he could go back, he might have some choice words for his fellow Jedi.
